Budget Analyst

-Responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the planning, analysis, formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of the Nebraska-Kansas Area Office's (NKAO) multi-year budget. -Monitors all NKAO's obligations and expenditures. -Prepares and analyzes financial reports and records for NKAO's Projects and Programs. -Assists in the development of various grants, co-operative and funding Agreements to ensure proposed funding is available or included in budget requests. -Serves as NKAO's Coordinator for the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA); Federal Activities Inventory Reform Act (FAIR A-76); Program Rating Tool (PART) initiatives; and Workforce Forecasting for NKAO out-year staffing needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
GS-9:
2 full years of directly related, progressively higher level graduate education or Master's or equivalent graduate degree or LLB or JD, if related -OR- 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service -OR- a combination of education and experience. SPECIALIZED
Experience:

GS-9:
Experience assisting with recurring budget administration duties including 3 of the following; trend analysis and review of costs for accuracy; analysis of current estimates of funding needs utilizing prior years executed budget; development of program/project forecast reports for use by management; directing/advising program personnel about annual program budget formulation; monitoring status of funds or financial transactions for an organization.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
